About Us

Established in New Zealand in 1990, The Aromatherapy Company has become a market leader in home fragrance and body care products.

Our focus is to produce beautiful, affordable luxury products for the home and for the body, integrated with our ethos of doing the right thing and our desire to create consciously made goods.

Hand & body care items are made in New Zealand from simple formulations using enriching raw materials, in line our principles of keeping things simple, clean and not using uncessary or harmful ingredients.

Guided by sustainable choices, The Aromatherapy Company wherever possible uses packaging that is recyclable, reusable, or reduces waste. Whilst adorning our homes and enriching our skin, we strive to close the loop and reduce and eliminate waste in the landfill or ocean with many of our items being fillable.

OUR VALUES

We have looked at all areas of manufacturing, materials and ingredients to formulate and design products that are suitable for you and your family. 

We do not test on animals, or use any processes in our business that are harmful to animals. All products are cruelty free and 100% vegan. Fragrances are comprised of both natural essential oils and synthetic aromas (used when natural fragrance compromise animals or sustainability of natural resources).

We’re continuously reducing our waste and energy use. We question our packaging and processes to get the balance right. We have a goal of eliminating single use plastics completely from our supply chain and use recycled materials wherever possible. 

Refills for candles, diffusers and washes are available to repurpose empty vessels and reduce waste and environmental impact.

Our product design team is based in Auckland and brings to you a world of innovation from the latest vessel, packaging and fragrance trends. We introduce limited edition ranges aligned with our values and festive gifting ranges at Christmas each year.

We service our retailers and wholesalers from warehouses in Auckland, Melbourne and Shanghai offering quick delivery all around the world.
